KinWise is a private family archive application. It allows family members to record stories, memories, and wisdom in response to periodic prompts, building a searchable archive accessible only to members of your family.
We collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and the stories, voice memos, and text responses you submit. We store transcripts of audio responses to enable search.
Your information is used solely to operate the KinWise service for your family. We send SMS and push notifications to deliver daily story prompts and family updates. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it for advertising.
If you provide a phone number, you may receive SMS messages containing family story prompts, family updates, and invite notifications from KinWise. SMS messages are sent only to family members who have been explicitly invited by a Family Historian (administrator) and have confirmed participation via an invite link or by replying to a message.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your family's schedule, typically 1–3 messages per week.

Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START.

No sharing of mobile numbers: Your mobile phone number will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are used solely to deliver KinWise family messages to you.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) and is accessible only to members of your family group. Audio and video files are stored in private cloud storage with no public access.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is permanent and includes all responses, transcripts, and media.
